Writing for SCG Empty Writing for SCG

As soon as they put it up on the site, I'm going to send SCG an e-mail to be an "Event Runner" for the event. I love playing Magic, but I miss writing a lot. If they give me the OK, I won't be playing - I'll just be writing. Don't know how much that will change, but I thought I would throw it out there as an option.

Writing for SCG Empty Cool

I have been offered the opportunity to start writing again for a number of different sites, but I just don't really feel like I have the time to really devote to it.

You can't get away with the crap that I used to put out on a consistent basis, plus the weekly demands are huge.

With the consistent testing that you are doing Kevin, this would be really strong for you. I wish I had the time you have to test and write, since that is what I would be doing.

If you need an "in," I know Riki Hayashi, who runs events at Star City, and I could put in a good word for you. More than likely, he will be judging at the $5k, and I could certainly introduce you so you can get started at the next event, if you are not accepted this time around.

If I don't make it, I'll take the introduction. I'm hoping the event will start receiving promotion sometime this week so I can send out the e-mail.

Haha - I'm certainly playing if I don't get the spot. The only thing I'm worried about is that because it's so close to SCG headquarters they might have more event staff then they do when they travel to places like San Jose, etc
